Occupation: Sr. Consultant & HOD, Department of Genetics and Molecular Medicine
Her illustrious career includes global research attachments with prestigious institutions such as Sloan Kettering, Cancer Genetics Inc., and Stanford University in the USA, as well as the Sanger Institute in Cambridge, UK. Dr. Hasan has supervised 21 Ph.D. students and co-guided 10 more while mentoring over 200 students in genetic testing and counseling. A prolific scholar, Dr. Hasan has published 140 international and national papers, contributed to four book chapters, and delivered more than 200 presentations worldwide. She has been instrumental in establishing diagnostic labs in three hospitals and launching India’s first full-time Genetic Counseling course.
