DIAGNOSIS TESTS

Physical Examination
During this test, your medical specialist will look in your ear for possible causes of your hearing loss. Some of the common causes are earwax or inflammation from an infection. Also, your doctor will check for any structural causes of your hearing problems.
General screening tests
Medical specialists or audiologists perform whisper tests to determine your hearing loss severity. Tuning Fork Tests

Audiometer Tests

Removing wax blockage
Audiologists use this procedure to clean or remove earwax from your ear canal. A suction pump or a small tool with a loop on the end is used to perform this action. This is a reversible cause of hearing loss. Also, it is one of the most common procedures done by audiologists.
Surgical Procedure
Audiologists choose surgical procedures only when other treatment options are not suitable or to treat abnormalities. Surgical procedures are carried out in case of abnormalities of the eardrum or bones of hearing. Sometimes surgery is needed if patients experience repeated infections with persistent fluid. During the surgical procedure, your medical specialist may insert small tubes that help your ears drain.
Hearing Aids
