Premature baby girl treated successfully at kamineni hospital

Kamineni Hospitals, LB Nagar, managed a rare and life-threatening case of airway obstruction in a 57-year-old woman, caused by accidental aspiration of a betel nut during sleep. The obstruction led to complete collapse of the left lung and critical breathing difficulty. Consultant Pulmonologists, supported by the anaesthesia team, performed a bronchoscopy to carefully extract the foreign body. Following the procedure, the patient’s lung function was restored, and she was discharged in stable condition. This case underscores the importance of timely medical intervention and the role of advanced pulmonology in managing complex emergencies.
