Kamineni Hospitals, LB Nagar, marked World Hypertension Day 2026 with a special awareness programme under the theme “Controlling Hypertension Together,” highlighting the alarming rise of hypertension among young adults in India.
Cardiology experts warned that unhealthy lifestyle habits such as chronic stress, lack of physical activity, poor sleep, high salt intake, smoking, and excessive screen time are contributing to increasing cases of high blood pressure in individuals as young as 20–30 years old.
Doctors also stressed that lifestyle modifications including daily exercise, stress management, healthier eating habits, and timely medical intervention can significantly reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other serious complications.
