On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, Kamineni Hospitals, LB Nagar organised an awareness programme to spread a strong message against tobacco and nicotine addiction.
The event was inaugurated by Telangana Eagle Force SP Shri P. Seetharam, who attended as the chief guest and urged young people to stay away from addictive substances. He also highlighted the importance of collective action from parents, teachers and community leaders in building a tobacco-free society.
The programme also featured insights from our pulmonology experts, including Dr. Subhakar Kandi, Senior Consultant Pulmonologist and Dr. E. Ravindra Reddy, Consultant Pulmonologist, who spoke about the serious health risks of smoking, chewing tobacco and passive smoking.
The event was attended by Dr. Sudheer Babu Padgul, Principal, Kamineni Academy of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Dr. Ravindranath, consultant pulmonologists Dr. D.S. Soujanya and Dr. Bharath Janapati, along with doctors, nursing staff and hospital personnel.
The event concluded with a pledge to avoid tobacco and work towards a healthier society.
