When I was pregnant with my first child, my occasional backaches had intensified at one point. Upon consulting my regular doctor, he guided me to Kamineni Hospitals.
At Kamineni Hospitals, I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Investigations showed what doctors called pregnancy-induced pre-eclampsia and I was also diagnosed with diabetes.
Given my condition, Dr. Vasundhara performed a C-Section and delivered a healthy female child. My baby was put under observation as she had a critical uterine growth disorder. I was in an extremely critical condition – I was now suffering from respiratory pneumonia and my kidneys were shutting down. Dr. Vasundhara, along with Dr. Sardar Shaik, a critical care veteran, monitored me day in and day out as I was put on ventilator. After a few days of dialysis, I had recovered fairly well.
I named my daughter Shravani. I’m really glad to have her in my life and be there for her.
